General Procedures

Summary of General Procedures:

  1. School begins at 7:45 A.M. Students are admitted from the rear parking lot (auditorium, if raining). The school day ends at 2:35 P.M.
  2. Students are expected to be in school each day and on time. If a student is late, he or she will need a note. Students will not be admitted to the building after 9:00 A.M. without a note or phone call from parent.
  3. Whenever students are absent from school, the students must present a note from a parent or guardian that include current phone numbers and contact information.
  4. Only parents or guardians will be authorized to take students out of class and/or school.
  5. Every student must complete a lunch application. The applications will be given to every student in September and must be returned in order for students to receive benefits.
  6. In addition to following all bus rules enforced by MTA, the students must refrain from abusive language, opening windows and getting involved in acts of vandalism.
  7. Students may use lockers at the beginning and close of the school day, only.
  8. To go to the lavatory, the office, the counselor, or any other destination within the building, the students must obtain a pass from a staff member.
